US AIRWAYS EXPRESS ANNOUNCES ALL-JET FLIGHTS FROM LEXINGTON; ADDS SIXTH DAILY FLIGHT TO CHARLOTTE

Lexington, KY – US Airways Express has announced that it will significantly upgrade its current daily air service between Lexington and their Charlotte, NC hub. On February 7, 2005 the airline will add a sixth daily flight between the two cities and on March 6, 2005 all six flights on the route will be upgraded to the very popular 50-seat Embraer 145 regional jet aircraft. Tickets for the expanded service are on sale now. Call US Airways reservations at 800-428-4322, purchase online at www.usairways.com or call your local travel agent to book your next trip.

"US Airways Express has been a terrific partner in our efforts to enhance air service in Central Kentucky. Given the challenges in the aviation industry today US Airways’ decision to expand daily service in Lexington shows that our region continues to be a very attractive location for new air service and our ongoing efforts to stimulate competition have been successful", said Michael Gobb, Executive Director, Blue Grass Airport.

With the introduction of this new flight frequency and the upgrade to regional jet operations the number of departure seats offered by US Airways Express from Lexington will increase by 25% and customers will enjoy "All-Jet" connections to hundreds of destinations in North America, Europe and the Caribbean via the Charlotte hub.

"Regional jets are a growing presence across our system, and we are pleased to bring increased capacity and complete jet service to our customers in the Lexington and Central Kentucky community," said Andrew P. Nocella, US Airways senior vice president of planning.

In addition to this significant increase in daily air service, US Airways Express has also installed two new electronic ticketing kiosks in the airport terminal that allow passengers to quickly and conveniently check in for flights, receive boarding passes and request upgrades.

Blue Grass Airport is served by five major airline brands providing convenient non-stop service to 12 major hub cities and direct service to destinations worldwide. In 2003, Blue Grass was recognized as the fifth fastest growing airport in the nation and continues to serve as a model among small community airports for security technology, marketing and community outreach.
