AIRPORT BOARD WELCOMES KELLEY SLOANE
AS NEW BOARD MEMBER

March 24, 2010 – The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is pleased to welcome new member Kelley Sloane. Ms. Sloane’s four-year appointment to the Airport Board was confirmed by Urban County Council on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Ms. Sloane has over 25 years experience in the high-tech industry, holding management positions in marketing, product management and IT for multi-national corporations including GE and Hewlett-Packard (HP), as well as mid-size and start-up computer software companies. She has been a featured speaker at industry events around the world and has numerous awards during her career, including “Woman of Distinction” in 2008 by a leading media organization in the document output industry. 

Ms. Sloane currently serves as director of enterprise software marketing at Hewlett-Packard in Lexington, KY, where she leads a team across the US, Europe and Asia/Pacific responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that generate sales leads and create brand equity for the company’s document automation solutions.

“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Sloane to the Airport Board,” said Bobby Owens, chairman of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board. “Kelley has outstanding marketing and management skills and is actively involved in the community. She will be a valuable member of our board.”

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and approved by the Urban County Council.

Blue Grass Airport, the Official Airport of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, is served by seven major airlines providing convenient non-stop serve to 14 major hub cities and connecting service to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
