Blue Grass Airport continues to provide airlines
with attractive opportunities for new air service development.
The new service will provide local travelers with a more comfortable
and convenient way to reach their favorite business and leisure
destinations. Continental is the first airline to introduce
the Embraer ERJ-135 regional jet to Lexington however, other
regional jet variations have been exceptionally popular with
frequent flyers for many years.
Continentals new jet service will
provide travelers from across the region with another way
to reach the destinations they visit most. Our customers have
asked for new flights and more jet destinations from Blue
Grass Airport, Continental Express has provided both,
said Michael Gobb, Executive Director, Blue Grass Airport.
As we take delivery of new jets, we are
able to replace turboprop flying with the fast, quiet regional
jets that our customers prefer, said Continental Express
