US AIRWAYS EXPRESS ANNOUNCES NEW NON-STOP
FLIGHTS TO PHILADELPHIA, PA
Lexington, KY - US Airways Express has announced new
service from Lexington, KY to its hub in Philadelphia, PA
beginning May 20, 2001.
Travelers from Lexington will be able to take
advantage of two daily non-stop flights from Lexingtons
Blue Grass Airport to Philadelphia International Airport.
These flights will provide Lexington with a new non-stop destination
and significantly enhance connections for our business customers
to the east coast and Europe. The new service, operated by
US Airways wholly owned subsidiary PSA Airlines, will
utilize 32-seat Dornier 328 airliners.
With the introduction of the Lexington-Philadelphia
service, US Airways Express brings daily non-stop service
for Lexington travelers to each of US Airways hubs
Philadelphia, Charlotte and Pittsburgh where customers
can connect to more than 200 destinations worldwide,
said Thomas M. Hanley, US Airways Express vice president.
Airport Executive Director, Michael Gobb added,
This is the second new non-stop destination that Blue
Grass Airport has announced in the last six months. We appreciate
the business communitys support of the airports
marketing efforts as we continue to pursue new flights and
more competitive service for the region.
As an added incentive, US Airways Dividend Miles
members can earn double miles when flying on these non-stop
flights from May 20, 2001 through July 31, 2001. To register
for double miles, members must call (800) 872-4738 and select
bonus request number 2301 prior to departure.
S Airways and US Airways Express currently provide
non-stop service to Pittsburgh, PA and Charlotte, NC. With
the addition of Philadelphia US Airways will offer 11 daily
departures from Blue Grass Airport.
