AIRPORT BOARD WELCOMES NANCY WISER
AS NEW BOARD MEMBER

July 2, 2008 – The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is pleased to welcome new member Nancy Wiser, APR. Ms. Wiser begins serving a four-year term in July 2008 and is replacing outgoing Airport Board member Tommy Gandolfo.

Ms. Wiser is a recognized leader in the public relations industry. She is a Principal at Wiser, Hemlepp & Associates, a public relations, marketing and opinion research firm she established in Lexington, Kentucky. Ms. Wiser has earned the Public Relations Society of America’s highest distinction, admission to The College of Fellows, and has served as a director on the Society’s national board. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of Commerce Lexington and is on the boards of the Kentucky Blood Center and Bluegrass Tomorrow. Ms. Wiser presents nationally and regionally on such topics as issue management, media relations, customer satisfaction and research.

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and approved by the Urban County Council.

Blue Grass Airport is served by six major airline brands providing convenient non-stop service to 13 major hub cities and direct service to hundreds of destinations worldwide. The airport proudly serves over one million central and eastern Kentucky travelers each year.
