July 28, 2008 Blue Grass Airport is pleased to announce its 2008 Small Business Participation Seminar to provide small, disadvantaged, minority and woman-owned businesses in central Kentucky with information about airport contracting opportunities.
“Our Small Business Participation Program was developed as an effort to maximize the positive economic impact of the airport’s multi-year improvement program on economic development in the community,” said John Slone, director of planning and development at Blue Grass Airport.
Blue Grass Airport will host its first Small Business Participation Seminar on Tuesday, July 29 from
1:00-4:00 pm in the airport’s Media Room. This seminar is already closed due to popular demand, so a second session has been opened on Tuesday, August 12

for the seminar can be made online at www.TKTandAssociates.com/BlueGrassAirport; or by calling 859.685.1034; or via email at info@tktandassociates.com.
During the seminar, attendees will be provided with a brief description of airport projects, project timelines, program goals and management, contractor requirements and DBE certification.
