UNITED EXPRESS TO INCREASE SERVICE BETWEEN LEXINGTON,
KY AND CHICAGO, IL
Lexington, KY - United Airlines has announced that
it will increase non-stop air service between Lexington and
its Chicago-O’Hare hub from three to four daily roundtrip
flights, beginning September 3, 2004. The new service will
be operated by United Express affiliate SkyWest Airlines using
the very popular 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet aircraft.
“We appreciate the efforts of United Express to add more
seats to the Lexington market. This new flight will help accommodate
Lexington’s growing demand for flights to Chicago and represents
a 30% increase in the number of seats available from United
in the Lexington Chicago market. This addition will add
to the fast, easy connections to and from the West Coast and
the Far East,” said Michael Gobb, Executive Director of Blue
Grass Airport.
