NEW RETAIL SHOP OPENS
AT BLUE GRASS AIRPORT
Blue Grass MarketPlace Offers Travelers Unique Kentucky Gifts

October 15 , 2008 –Travelers at Blue Grass Airport can now enjoy shopping in a new three-concept MarketPlace that includes a Keeneland Shop, Paddock Shop and convenience store. This new shop is located in the lobby of Blue Grass Airport and is operated by The Paradies Shops, an airport retailer with over 500 stores in 67 markets.

Featuring “shops-within-a-shop,” the Blue Grass MarketPlace greets travelers with an extensive variety of merchandise specific to Lexington and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Visitors can purchase local gourmet foods, arts, crafts and apparel—all representing the distinctive “flavor” of the area. Located in the Blue Grass MarketPlace is the popular Keeneland Gift Shop, offering exceptional products from one of the most recognized Thoroughbred race tracks in the country as well as The Paddock, which offers souvenirs, clothing and accessories.

“The Blue Grass MarketPlace will provide travelers with a unique opportunity to find all of their favorite Kentucky merchandise in one location,” said Michael Gobb, executive director of Blue Grass Airport. “Visitors to the region will find keepsakes of their trip and any necessary travel items to make their flight more enjoyable. We are fortunate to have a partner such as The Paradies Shops, who has continuously received awards for their high level of service and excellent selection of merchandise.”

The Paradies Shops will also be opening a CNBC News Lexington shop between Concourses A & B. This Paradies Shops exclusive offers a wide selection of news, magazines, books and sundries in a state-of-the-art newsstand, featuring an online kiosk for checking the latest stocks and a video screen showing live news from CNBC, the world leader in business news. Construction on this project is expected to begin soon.
