Lexington, KY - Blue Grass Airport opened the doors
today to its new executive lounge, The Club at Blue Grass.
Located in Concourse B, The Club at Blue Grass provides passengers
with uncompromising comfort, unparalleled convenience and
state-of-the-art business tools.
Passengers will have access to club amenities such as comfortable
seating areas with flat-screen televisions, complimentary
snacks and beverages, personal workstations with data ports
for computer usage, wireless internet access, newspapers and
periodicals, a smoking lounge, photo copier and fax machine.
In addition, customers will receive personalize service from
airport staff.
The Club at Blue Grass will provide our passengers
with a comfortable respite from traveling, said Michael
Gobb, executive director at Blue Grass Airport. Passengers
can relax before their flight, catch up on the news, conduct
a meeting and take care of business while enjoying a 180-degree
view of the airfield.
Admittance to the club is free of charge to all travelers
who possess an airline club membership with any of the major
airlines serving Lexington. For those individuals who do not
hold memberships to an airline club, one-day passes are available
for purchase at the club entrance for $5. Corporate partners
and frequent customers will have the opportunity to purchase
bulk admittance coupons to The Club at Blue Grass in advance
at a significant discount.
An exciting feature of the club is the two conference rooms,
which can be reserved for a nominal charge for private meetings.
The Halley Field and Cool Meadows meeting rooms,
named for the first two airfields in Lexington, are available
for rental by both travelers with valid airline boarding passes
and to the general public. These rooms are fully equipped
with audio/visual equipment, including video conferencing,
teleconferencing, TV/VCR/DVD, presentation boards and an image
capturing system.
These conference rooms will allow individuals to fly
in for a meeting, take care of business and then head home,
all without ever leaving the airport, said Gobb.
The Club at Blue Grass is just one of many improvement projects
at Blue Grass Airport. Other projects include a covered car
rental facility, the first New York Times Bookstore in the
nation, six additional gates in Concourse B and interior renovations
to Concourse B and C.
