Airport Executive Director Elected President of Bluegrass Hospitality Association

Lexington, KY — Blue Grass Airport Executive Director Michael Gobb has recently been elected as 2005-2006 President of the Board of Directors for the Bluegrass Hospitality Association.

"I am honored to serve as President of such an important organization in the tourism industry,"said Michael Gobb, executive director of Blue Grass Airport. "Tourism is vital to the region's economic development and I hope to be able to lead the organization even further towards its commitment of promoting travel to the Bluegrass."

The Bluegrass Hospitality Association has over 200 members who represent top executives in area tourist attractions, hotels and restaurants and includes strategic partners such as convention and visitor bureaus, local and state officials, chambers of commerce and convention centers.

Michael Gobb has served as Executive Director of Blue Grass Airport since September 1998 and is an accredited member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). He is a proven leader in the community and is an active member and officer of numerous organizations in the tourism and transportation industry.
