Delta Connection Delivers Additional Flights
to Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA
Lexington , KY Delta Air Lines today announced
an increase in the number of flights between Lexington's
Blue Grass Airport and two popular destinations.
Beginning February 1, 2003, Delta Connection
will offer an additional daily non-stop flight between Lexington
and Dallas, TX, bringing the total to three daily roundtrip
flights from Lexington to Delta's Dallas hub.
Flight 4243 will depart Dallas at 9:50 a.m.
and arrive in Lexington at 12:40 p.m. The flight will return
to Dallas with a1:25 p.m. departure from Lexington and 2:48
p.m. arrival in Dallas .
On March 1, 2004 Delta Air Lines will add
an additional non-stop flight between Lexington and Atlanta.
With this additional flight Delta will offer eight daily roundtrip
flights from Blue Grass Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta
International Airport .
Flight 5225 will depart Atlanta at 6:15 p.m.
and arrive in Lexington at 7:25 p.m. The flight will return
to Atlanta with a 7:55 p.m. departure from Lexington and 9:13
p.m. arrival in Atlanta .
Delta Connection will utilize the popular 50-seat
Bombardier Regional Jet aircraft, the quietest and most environmentally
sound jet aircraft in the world, to provide the additional
Dallas and Atlanta service from Lexington. This addition reflects
an 8% increase in the total number of daily seats offered
by Delta from Lexington .
"In 2003, passenger activity at Lexington's
Blue Grass Airport has increased by over 20%. We are thrilled
Delta has responded to these favorable numbers by adding new
flights to Atlanta and Dallas," said Michael Gobb, Executive
Director of Blue Grass Airport.
