Fixed-Base Operator Renovations

With the award of a new 10-year contract, TAC Air will provide general aviation customers with an $11.5 million investment in facility improvements. A new executive terminal will be built and will include a large passenger lobby, two conference rooms with state-of-the-art equipment, a gift store and art gallery, upscale food offering, movie theater, exercise facility, pilot lounge, quiet room and flight planning area. In addition, 45,000 square feet of new hangar space will be constructed. These new facilities will provide Blue Grass Airport’s general aviation customers with a high-quality travel experience and will assist TAC Air during special event operations such as Keeneland spring and fall racing meets, yearling sales and broodmare sales, University of Kentucky sporting events, the Kentucky Derby and Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.
