• Favorite “Uniquely Kentucky” Shop: The Keeneland Shop. Be sure to visit when we are at the races!
• Yummiest Ice Cream: Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream—Kentucky Blackberry & Buttermilk (although you can’t go wrong with any flavor here!)
• Best Bluegrass Experience: Take a driving tour on Pisgah Pike for scenic horse farm landscapes, Kentucky Castle views and lunch at Wallace Station, a casual favorite of local horsemen. You can easily add on a tour of a nearby distillery, including Woodford Reserve and Castle & Key.

• Favorite Spot for Entertainment: The Distillery District is a lively downtown destination with an arcade, live music venues, duckpin bowling, distilleries and various local food and drink options that are great for enjoying an evening with friends.
• Best Place to Grab a Meal: Carson’s—the sweet & spicy ribs are my go-to menu pick!
• Top Pick for Pizza: Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is one of the best spots in town to grab a brick-oven pie and it’s located right here in The Summit at Fritz Farm—an easy walk from The Origin Hotel!

• Favorite Place to Meet Up With Friends: Mirror Twin Brewing and Rolling Oven Pizzeria. Grab a cold locally brewed beer and a hot pizza all under one roof!
• Preferred Donuts: North Lime Coffee & Donuts
• Enjoy Historic Lexington: Visit the campus of Lexington’s Transylvania University. “Transy,” established in 1780, is the oldest college west of the Allegheny Mountains (and my alma mater)! This Historic Lexington Downtown Walk includes Transy and 32 other locations!
• Top Spots to Grab a Kentucky Souvenir: Swing by The Kentucky Shop to grab a quirky Kentucky t-shirt or The Barrel Market right here at The Summit at Fritz Farm to check out every bourbon-related gift you can imagine!
