New York City just got a whole lot closer to Lexington! Beginning June 7, Delta Air Lines will offer a second daily flight between Lexington and New York LaGuardia Airport.
No matter if you’re traveling for business or leisure, more non-stop flights make exploring The City That Never Sleeps even easier than before. New York is calling—and Blue Grass Airport is your gateway to the Big Apple.
A new piece of art is being displayed in the upper atrium of the airport, just past the TSA security checkpoint. Titled Hands That Dream, the eight-foot snowplow blade was designed and painted by Lexington Middle School students as part of a unique partnership between Blue Grass Airport and Fayette County Public Schools.
The students, 34 eighth-grade visual art scholars, were able to learn about winter snow operations and participate in a tour and hands-on experience connected to the project. Thank you to all the talented artists who participated!
Starting February 1, if you are unable to provide the required acceptable ID, such as a passport or REAL ID, you can pay a $45 fee to use TSA ConfirmID.
