Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program

Blue Grass Airport has an ongoing commitment to partner with small, minority and diverse businesses. The airport is committed to its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program for businesses that are certified as socially or economically disadvantaged. Pursuant to 49 CFR Part 26, the airport has determined an overall DBE goal of 4.8% for the federal fiscal years that begin October 1, 2023, 2024 and 2025 (FY 24, 25, 26). This percentage results from the estimate of DBE participation we would expect in our FAA-assisted contracting programs absent discrimination.

Concession Opportunities

Interested in learning more about how to operate a business from Blue Grass Airport? The airport currently partners with Paradies Lagardère, Cork & Barrel Bourbon Shop and Delaware North for shopping/dining services. Products can be proposed for sale directly to these businesses or, if you are looking to start your own business venture, interested entrepreneurs may submit an inquiry and business plan to our concessions team.

Master plan

Blue Grass Airport is in the process of creating a new Master Plan. A Master Plan forecasts future aviation activity and creates a strategic vision to accommodate the needs of the region.
