Get going with Blue Grass Airport by partnering with us on projects—small and large!
From pavement projects to terminal construction to landscaping services, we have many opportunities to get involved. If you are seeking to pursue a partnership with the airport, keep an eye on our Request for Proposal opportunities for detailed information on how you can work with the airport.
Blue Grass Airport has an ongoing commitment to partner with small, minority and diverse businesses. The airport is committed to its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program for businesses that are certified as socially or economically disadvantaged. Pursuant to 49 CFR Part 26, the airport has determined an overall DBE goal of 3.0% for the federal fiscal years that begin October 1, 2020, 2021 and 2022 (FY 21, 22, 23). This percentage results from the estimate of DBE participation we would expect in our FAA-assisted contracting programs absent discrimination.
Turner Construction and the University of Kentucky, in collaboration with the Kentucky Procurement Technical Assistance Center, will be hosting an annual Construction Diversity Accelerator program. The focus of the program is to engage minority-owned, women-owned and other underrepresented construction related businesses. The application deadline for the 2023 program is Friday, January 27, 2023.
