Blue Grass Airport is taking steps to expand parking capacity, improve traffic flow and reconfigure the airport roadway to ensure smoother, more efficient access to the terminal. The expansion will add 815 long-term parking spaces and a second covered walkway featuring a promenade for passengers.

Phase II construction will have impacts to passengers, eliminating right-hand turns onto Air Freight Drive from Terminal Drive for a period of approximately 30 days. Passengers returning rental cars are advised to access Blue Grass Airport Rental Car Return Garage (901 Air Freight Drive) via Airport Road, which is accessible directly from Man O’ War Boulevard. Passengers arriving through the airport’s main entrance are encouraged to follow “Rental Car Return” detour signage. They will be routed back out of the main entrance to turn right onto Man O’ War Boulevard and then take the following right onto Airport Road.
