Lexington, KY—July 15, 2026—The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board welcomes Todd Ziegler to its 10-member governing board, where he will serve a four-year term. As a member of the Board, Ziegler will help guide Blue Grass Airport’s strategic direction and support its vision of providing a welcoming approach connecting Kentucky and the world.
With over 37 years of banking experience, Mr. Ziegler currently serves as market executive at Republic Bank with responsibilities across the organization. Since joining Republic Bank, he has held various leadership roles, most notably serving as central Kentucky market president. He began his banking career at National City Bank in 1989, gaining experience in corporate banking and middle-market banking, among other areas.
In addition to the Airport Board, Mr. Ziegler currently serves on numerous boards and organizations throughout the community, including the Kentucky Chamber, Commerce Lexington, Community Ventures Corporation, Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County and the Kentucky Chamber Competitiveness Policy Council. His past community involvement includes the Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass, American Heart Association, Business Education Network, Bluegrass Tomorrow and several other organizations that work to benefit the local community. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board serves as the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. The Board comprises volunteer members who are selected by the Mayor of Lexington and confirmed by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council. It establishes policy, represents the interests of the community and employs the airport’s president and CEO, who oversees the airport’s day-to-day functions.
