Lexington, KY—July 13, 2026—The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is pleased to announce that it has appointed Tonya Jackson as chair of the Board effective July 15, 2026. A member of the Board since 2020, Ms. Jackson previously served as vice chair and succeeds outgoing Board Chair Brian Wells.
Tonya Jackson recently retired after over 30 years at Lexmark, where she served as senior vice president and chief people officer. In that role, she led human resources for Lexmark’s 8,500 employees, overseeing talent acquisition and development, compensation and benefits, employee experience, employee engagement, internal communications, community relations and inclusion programs. She continues to serve on several boards and committees throughout the community.
The Airport Board also appointed Clay Angelucci as vice chair. Marc Mathews will continue to serve as treasurer, and Shirie Hawkins will continue to serve as secretary. Additional Board members include Tony Bonner, Angela Coleman, Bangaly “Sav” Savané, Dave Sevigny and Mary-Alicha Weldon. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and confirmed by the Urban County Council. The Airport Board sets policy, represents the interests of the community and hires a president & CEO who carries out the airport’s day-to-day functions.
