February 4, 2026—Beginning June 7, 2026, Delta Air Lines will offer a second daily flight between Blue Grass Airport (LEX) and New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), providing travelers with even more options and flexibility when flying between central Kentucky and New York City. The first daily non-stop flight on this highly requested route began in May 2025, and demand has remained strong.

With the added convenience of a second flight, passengers traveling to New York City have more opportunities for flexibility in their plans. A business traveler could fly into LaGuardia in the morning, attend a meeting and return to Lexington during the same day. Leisure travelers can take advantage of the expanded schedule, whether they are visiting the Big Apple to see one of Broadway’s theater productions, exploring iconic locations such as the Statue of Liberty or Central Park, or enjoying a weekend getaway.

This new addition builds on the momentum of Blue Grass Airport’s record-breaking year in 2025, when the airport served an all-time high of 1,614,053 total passengers. With this milestone and the second daily flight to New York, the airport continues to expand air service to better serve travelers across central and southeastern Kentucky, while also welcoming visitors to the Bluegrass region.
