Blue Grass Airport Reopens its Business Lounge

The Club at Blue Grass Returns with Renovations and Upgrades

June 6, 2022 —The Club at Blue Grass reopens today at Blue Grass Airport after its closure due to the pandemic and recent renovations. This business lounge, which originally opened in 2005 as an airport-owned alternative to a private airline lounge, provides guests with an opportunity to relax and unwind in a beautiful setting complete with comfortable seating, business services, and complimentary snacks and beverages. In addition to these amenities, the lounge also includes the option to rent a conference room for an hourly fee—a perfect option for traveling guests who would like the convenience to host a meeting without leaving the gate area.

During the closure, The Club at Blue Grass has been renovated with upgrades such as new carpeting and enlarged arrival/departure monitors. Additional seating has been added along with 30 new electrical outlets throughout the lounge offering passengers more convenient options to charge their devices. Guests will also notice new snack and beverage choices.

“The Club at Blue Grass provides our business travelers with a quiet retreat while they wait to board their flight,” said Eric Frankl, executive director of Blue Grass Airport. “This is just one of the many amenities that has returned to the airport within the last several months and one more reason passengers know they will have an exceptional experience when they fly from Blue Grass Airport.”

Complimentary admission is provided to guests who are members of airline clubs that fly out of Blue Grass Airport, including Delta Sky Club, American Airlines’ Admirals Club and United Club. American Express Platinum cardholders and active-duty military members also receive complimentary admission. For guests who do not fall into these categories, day passes are available for $25. The Club at Blue Grass is now open Monday- Friday, 5:00 am-7:00 pm and Sunday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. The Club is closed on Saturdays.
