Non-Stop Flights Between Lexington and Denver Begin Upgraded Service on United Airlines

Lexington, KYMay 21, 2026—United Airlines has upgraded its daily non-stop flight between Blue Grass Airport (LEX) and Denver, Colorado (DEN) by increasing the aircraft size to an Airbus A319 with 126 seats and a larger first-class cabin. This change adds over 50 seats per day and gives more Lexington passengers the opportunity to visit the Mile High City or connect to other destinations in the western United States, Canada and beyond.

“We’re grateful to United Airlines for continuing to invest in our community with this upgrade to a larger, more spacious aircraft—something we know our passengers truly value,” said Eric Frankl, President & CEO of Blue Grass Airport. “Not only does this enhancement provide a more comfortable travel experience, but it also expands access to westbound destinations. Denver serves as a key gateway for central Kentuckians, opening the door to dozens of connections domestically and internationally.”

With this popular flight that began in September 2023, Lexington travelers have easy access to many outdoor attractions and parks, including Rocky Mountain National Park. Families can find plenty to do while in Denver, including visiting the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and multiple amusement parks. Denver also has a thriving music scene with its Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre serving as host to iconic artists and making it a must-do for music fans.

This flight also serves as a convenient way to travel to other domestic and international locations. With connections to more than 70 westbound destinations, including the western United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Western Canada, Mexico and Japan, Denver functions as a gateway to the west for many central Kentuckians. Tickets for these flights are available now at united.com and on the United app.
